Burnham: Latchingdon mum 'addicted' to Diet Coke kicks her habit
We have all heard about being addicted to alcohol or drugs but what about fizzy drinks?
Jen Hoddy, a mum from Latchingdon, found herself hooked on just that and has drank a two litre bottle of Diet Coke every day for three years - at a cost of more than £700 a year.
Ms Hoddy found herself reaching more for the bubbly black stuff since 2007, when she began working behind the bar at Latchingdon Football Club, in Burnham Road.
The mum-of-one, 33, of Buchanan Drive, said: “It was just the easiest drink to have rather than booze.
“It was in one of those pumps and it just started from there. Over the course of time I really liked the drink.
“In the last three years I have had two litres a day, I used to go down to the village shop to get a bottle a day."
