Man arrested after woman's body found in Monkwick home

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman in her 20s was discovered.
He is Mark Czapla, 24.
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 7.30am today following reports a woman was seriously ill inside a house in Queen Elizabeth Way, Monkwick, Colchester.
A police spokesman said: "Officers attended and found the body of a woman in her 20s.
"Detectives are treating the death as suspicious.
"A cordon has been placed around around the property."

Police say they have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: "I am distressed by the news of the suspected murder of a young woman in Colchester earlier today.
"I have been briefed by the force, and a thorough, meticulous and professional police investigation is in full swing. I am pleased to learn that a man has already been arrested in connection with this incident.
"My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victim.”
FRIENDS have named a woman who was found dead in Colchester this morning.
Kirsty Humphrey, 23, is believed to have been found seriously ill at a house in Queen Elizabeth Way, Monkwick, at 7.30am.
Police have confirmed a child was in the property at the time of the incident.
4pm: POLICE confirm murder victim is Kirsty Humphrey.
The murder investigation is being led by DCI Simon Werrett of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
