Sea cadets are looking for helpers and donations to keep them going.
Maldon and District Sea Cadets Corps, based in Park Drive, Maldon, has 43 cadets aged ten to 18 and about 12 volunteers.
Committee chairman, Barbara Keeble, recently received a certificate of service for helping to raise more than £100,000 in five years and her commitment to the group.
Chief Petty officer Nick Temme said the cadets have gone from strength to strength.
“We’re always looking for people, especially to help with the committee.
“Donations are important too, just £10 will help," he said.
