A father-of-two has spoken of his relief after being cleared over the drowning of a fellow Brit tourist 16 years ago.
Kitchen fitter Darren Sapstead was thrilled to return home on Monday after having been acquitted by a Spanish jury of any involvement in Garry Walton’s death.
Mr Sapstead, who grew up in Crescent Road, Heybridge, described his court ordeal as “a nightmare”.
