Maldon: 'These dinosaurs aren't extinct!'

Maldon: 'These dinosaurs aren't extinct!' Maldon: 'These dinosaurs aren't extinct!'

Dozens of children have been having fun creating dinosaurs.

The event at Maldon Library on Thursday saw more than 50 children getting crafty with glitter, glue and googly eyes to make their colourful creatures.

Library staff were also on hand to tell dinosaur stories. Bridget Kayes, deputy library supervisor, said the session was a real success.

She said: “We have had some wonderful models made, they really did go to town.

“The kids absolutely loved it, there was a brilliant atmosphere.

“The parents all said it was a really lovely morning for the children.”

Maldon District Council set up the event to give the district’s children some half term fun.

Children could also meet ‘Steggy’, a giant Stegosaurus made from recycled keyboards, laptops, kettles and pieces of vacuum cleaner.
