Cold Norton: Fundraising jazz evening being held tomorrow
12:12pm Thursday 28th February 2013 in News
A 14-piece swing band will be the star attraction at a local fundraising event.
Tomorrow, the Rotary Club of Burnham and Dengie Hundred will be holding a jazz evening to raise money for Mercy Ships.
These ships, crewed by doctors, nurses, water engineers and agriculturalists, visit some of the world’s poorest countries and offer their services free of charge.
The club is hoping to raise at least £5,250 and is putting on an event that has been described as a “musical extravaganza”.
Groups will be seated on tables of ten and will enjoy a three course meal as well as the musical offering.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 7.30pm at the Three Rivers Golf and Country Club, Stow Road, Cold Norton, are £35 each.
Those who are interested in attending should contact Philip Clegg by February 15 on 01621 784621.
