Maldon: 'My car was vandalised while I tended to dying woman'
A Maldon restaurant owner has spoken of his anger after his car was vandalised when visiting a sick elderly lady.
Sojay Miah, 34, who runs Curry Nights in the town’s High Street, was visiting an long-term user of the restaurant aged in her 80’s last Tuesday night, when his car was keyed and a tyre was slashed.
Mr Miah, of Butt Lane, was left horrified when he discovered the damage that occurred in Quest Place after trying to drive the car.
He estimates he will now have to pay up to £600 to fix the damage.
He said: “I parked up and all of a sudden, within 15 minutes, the car alarm went off."
