All three emergency services attended a rush-hour crash in a village this morning.

Police received a call shortly before 8.10am of a car on its side in Lower Burnham Road, near the junction of Hogwell Chase, in Stow Maries.

An Essex Police spokesman said the occupants of the vehicle were still inside the Ford Fiesta when the call was made, but they were unhurt.

By the time police arrived on scene, the passengers had climbed out of the car.
