Burnham: 'I've been shot at and arrested but I'm still going back' says minister

A Burnham minister will travel to Isreal and occupied Palestine territories as part of a Christian Aid mission, despite being shot at and arrested on previous trips.

The Rev Dr Jon Morgan, 54, minister at The United Reformed Church in Burnham, will travel to the Tel Aviv in Isreal from Heathrow on Friday and will spend over a week in the region.

Mr Morgan, with nine other people, will find himelf in the midst of combat to offer support and emergency relief to Palestinian refugees and those under pressure in occupied territories.

The father-of-two will meet with partner organisations including the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees and the Women’s Affairs Centre in Gaza to help the poorest in the region.
