A Burnham mum is campaigning to have a designated bus stop on Eves Corner after rows with residents forced buses to stop further away.

Stay-at-home mum Jane Lloyd, 41, who lives off The Cobbins, will set up a petition for school buses to continue to stop on the corner as she feels it is the safest place.

At the moment buses stop further down the road at a different bus stop at the request of a resident.

Mum-of-three Mrs Lloyd, who has two children, Olivia, 10, and Nicholas, 7, who use the bus stop to go to St Francis Primary School in Maldon, feels the change has put her children’s lives in danger.

She said: “For the last 40 to 50 years school coaches have been pulling up on the corner.

“I think that’s the safest place for the bus to stop."
