Burnham: Resident to take action over dangerous parking near school Burnham: Resident to take action over dangerous parking near school

A Burnham mum is so fed-up with her parking nightmare street she is considering resorting to cones to save her parking space.

Sandra Waller, 24, of The Leas, has vowed to take matters into her own hands if the “ridiculous” traffic problems continue.

Other residents in the road are at loggerheads with parents picking their children up from nearby St Mary’s Primary School in Marsh Road.

Parents continue to use their cul-de-sac and parking bays despite allocated parking at St Mary’s Church.

In some cases, insults and obscenities have been exchanged as the situation turned nasty.

At one point the police were called.

Miss Waller, a volunteer for Burnham’s scouts and cubs group, said: “They block in cars and park on the bend into The Leas.

“It’s so dangerous round here."

Perhaps the residents should pay Ms Waller to guard the entrance to the cul-de-sac at the appropriate times, similar to the school crossing ladies.

I wouldn't be game to argue with her.
