Number of police officers plummets

POLICE officer numbers are at their lowest for more than a decade.

More than 4,000 officer posts have been lost in the past 12 months.

It means there are now about 132,000 officers in England and Wales.

Numbers in Essex will be down more than 350 by next year and more cuts are possible.

Essex Police currently has to cut its costs by £42million by 2015.

Essex Police are quite happy to get rid of good officers using any excuse, officer makes a genuine honest mistake and now gone where a while ago they would have been fined/posted/re-trai
ned,now the community and service loses an officer with a wealth of experience, skills and training
