A mum who collapsed while walking her dogs has said she understood why a jogger ran past her without stopping to help.
Jacki Ithier, 45, of Wordsworth Avenue, Maldon, doubled up in pain and struggled to breathe while walking in Beeleigh.
The mum-of-one, who is recovering from breast cancer, said she thought she was going to die on the remote path.
She said: “I have had a really bad cough for about seven weeks.
“The dogs were off running around and I coughed.
“After that I couldn’t breathe, I was doubled up in pain. I just couldn’t catch my breath properly."
