Burnham: Boxing coach to train celebs on TV alongside Calzaghe

A power station worker who only became a licensed boxing coach last year is celebrating after being offered a top TV role.

Kevin Campion, 30, of Alpha Road, Burnham, will train celebrities in a new show, Calzaghe’s Celebrity Boot Camp, which will air on mainstream TV sometime in 2013.

Kevin, who recently landed a major role for one of the country’s best promoters, was called on Christmas Day to train alongside Enzo Calzaghe, father to Joe Calzaghe, in the prime-time spot.

The father-of-two said: “I couldn’t believe it, it was quite a shock.

“They said they had been following me, I couldn’t say no.”
