Maldon: Past pupils invited back to Plume

Maldon: Past pupils invited back to Plume Maldon: Past pupils invited back to Plume

Past pupils are invited to the rededication of one of Maldon’s most iconic symbols - Plume School clock tower.

The tower was part of the original Fambridge Road building from 1907, but the clock and lamp were added at the end of the Second World War in memory of pupils who had lost their lives during the conflict.

The school has recently used grant funding to undertake major refurbishment of the clock and tower to preserve it for future generations and is now inviting members of the public to its rededication service and afternoon tea at 3.45pm on November 12.

For more information and to register your interest in attending the rededication service, contact Patricia Hume at the school on 01621 854681 or email p.hume@plume.essex.sch.uk
