A gutsy young man who was robbed of his wallet in an underpass managed to retrieve it after giving chase.
The robbery took place in the underpass under the A414 Heybridge Approach last at 7.45pm on October 25.
The 18-year-old victim was taken by surprise by two men, described as wearing hoodies and aged between 16 and 20.
They took his wallet but after giving chase it was recovered.
Sgt Martin White said: “It’s not a frequent occurrence in this area and it sounds like they are youths.
“The advice I would give is be mindful of walking in unlit areas at night and keep wallets as safe as you can, preferably in a zipped pocket.”
Witnesses to the robbery are urged to call 101.
