Maldon: Soldier Kevin recognised for Games service
A territorial army reservist has been recognised for his sterling efforts in security during the Olympics.
Staff Sergeant Kevin Elliott, 39, of Maldon, spent three months in Dorset providing training for communications specialists both in the lead up to the Games and during the event itself.
Mr Elliott, who is a member of Colchester’s 36 (Eastern) Signal Squadron Regiment (Volunteers) and an engineer with BT in civilian life, has now been awarded the Olympic Commendation Coin.
