Does the end of Britain’s double dip mean there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for Maldon district businesses?
The economy expanded by one per cent between July and September, statistics from the Office for National Statistics found last week.
But Burnham’s Ship Inn landlord Charlie Ball said: “I don’t even believe we are out of a recession.
“We have just had the worst week’s trading we have had for two years."
