Maldon: Announcement on retail park occupants nears
A developer is optimistic retailers moving into a new £20million Maldon business park can be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Aquila’s plans to redevelop the Brooks Brother timber yard, in the Causeway, were given the green light by Maldon District Council in March, but progress stalled after problems persuading companies to move into the proposed 57-bedroom hotel, restaurant and large retail units.
Following advanced discussions with a number of major retailers, Aquila director Mike Richards is now hopeful that an announcement on who will be moving in can be made within a matter of weeks.
