District: Brace yourself for big chill
Maldon and Burnham residents have been warned to wrap up warm as sub-zero
temperatures and a possible sleet shower are around the corner.
Speaking exclusively to the Standard, chief meteorologist Tom Defty of the Essex
Weather Centre has urged residents across the district to brace themselves for a
goosebump-inducing Arctic blast before a return to milder weather in the first week
of November.
