Police confirm two dog attacks involved the same dog
POLICE have confirmed two dog attacks which occurred in two days involved the same dog.
PC Andrew Jopson of Burnham police is dealing with the incidents and told the Standard it was the same dog.
A dog, believed to be a large bull mastiff, attacked two dogs and one man outside Edgewood Veterinary Surgery, in Station Road, Burnham, on April 9.
A second attack happened two days later on April 11 in what is thought to be the home of the animal.
Stephen Walker, a self employed plumber of Kings Road, Southminster, was attacked after he had finished a job at the house of an elderly couple in the village.
Half of the muscle in his right arm was ripped by the dog.
PC Jopson said the owner was reported for not keeping proper control of a dog in a public place and has been interviewed by police.
Once paperwork on the case is put together it will be reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Same dog, two attacks- means the dog should be put down and the owners banned from having another. That's logic. Any other answer requires a waste of resources so some some people can feel touchy feely emotional about the issue.
