GET set for a good dollop of music, dance and live entertainment this weekend as Basildon Festival returns for its 13th year to rock Gloucester Park.
Fans of Doctor Who will have the opportunity to meet the Time Lord himself, as Colin Baker, the sixth actor to play the Doctor between 1984 and 1986, pops in.
People will be able see what the Tardis is really like as it makes an appearance as part of a special exhibition celebrating Basildon’s 60th birthday.
The free festival, on Saturday and Sunday, is open between 11.30am and 7.30pm.
Basildon Council’s festival manager, Steve Ainslie, said: “In light of the economic climate we were keen to ensure we could keep Basfest as a free event for residents to enjoy with friends and family.”
