A SOLICITOR has retired after 37 years service at one Colchester firm.

Graham Wilson was agriculture and commercial property specialist at Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP).

Starting his career with the company as a trainee and qualifying in 1978, he became a partner in 1980.

With the restructure of the company in 2007, Mr Wilson became director of M Graham Wilson Ltd, a corporate partner of TSP. He retired from the partnership in 2013.

Mr Wilson, a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, worked as consultant solicitor after retiring from the partnership and will now sit as a deputy district judge and as a judge of the First-Tier Tribunal, which considers leasehold property disputes.

Mr Wilson said: “I have greatly enjoyed my time at TSP, and I shall miss the companionship of the people with whom I have worked”

TSP hosted a party for Mr Wilson and colleague Kathy Rogers, who is retiring after 30 years with the company.

Julian Wilson, TSPfinance director at TSP said: “Graham has made a huge contribution to the firm. We will miss his cheerfulness and good humour.”
