Stopping people with broken headlights and/or rear lights on dark country bends at night might be an even better use of Police time

... and just don't stop youngsters, I have had a wrongly spaced plate for 10 years and never been stopped, my son has one and has been stopped 4 times, once again in the latest round. Those who drive posh 4 x 4's, etc NEVER GET STOPPED!!! The law is the law surely.

How about checking the many foreign registered cars? A lot of these have been in the country over six months and are therefore have illegal number plates. Many of them live full time in the uk and are commiting fraud as well.

How about stopping the dangerous and drunk/drugged drivers.
Its not all young drivers that cause problems - but unfortunately the ones that do - give the rest of them a bad name. Southminster and Burnham are filled with young boy racers who drive round at breakneck speeds and with loud exhausts late at night.
Stop these people first - incorrect spacing on a number plate is not a huge crime in the grand scheme of the house break-ins car thefts etc going on in the Dengie at the moment.
