HEYBRIDGE residents are without water this morning after a burst pipe caused chaos in the village.
Essex and Suffolk Water confirmed they are "aware of an issue that is affecting the water supply" in the CM9 and CM0 postcode areas.
A statement on the firm's website said: "We are currently investigating and working hard to get this fixed.
"We'll update you soon. Thanks for your patience."
A photo seen by the Standard shows Heybridge Street engulfed in water.
Heybridge Primary School, in Rowan Drive, is closed due to the incident.
An email sent to parents this morning said: "Children will have access to two live lessons this morning via Google Classroom. There will then be work set to complete in the afternoon.
"Lessons online will start at 9.30am. We will keep you updated with plans for tomorrow later today."
